2011 Callaway RAZR X Irons

The Callaway RAZR X Iron Set creates tighter shots, shorter putts and lower scores through uncompromised performance. Most irons today are designed to maximize one specific performance benefit— distance, forgiveness or feel— while sacrificing all other critical areas needed to hit more greens. To consistently hit it close and shoot lower scores, golfers need to be able to make shots from all areas of the golf course. That’s why RAZR Technology is such a breakthrough. This technology will lead the industry into the next generation of iron design by delivering the distance and forgiveness of a wide sole iron while retaining the playability and turf interaction advantages of a thin sole Callaway RAZR X 3-SW Iron .

As oversized irons go, the Callaway RAZR X irons were a nice size and the top line was confidence inspiring without being too thick. They were also very forgiving to hit with a lovely feel and sound and the uniflex steel shaft helped deliver a powerful strike. They look like the classic irons of the X series of the past but the offset seems more subtle and the styling a little sharper, so if you have the wherewithal, then this is a set to consider for mid handicappers.
